Update: George Bussey was shut down and will be heading to surgery soon.
Fantasy Impact: Bussey had little fantasy impact before this even happened.
Update: According to the Boston Globe, Patriots coach Bill Belichick was noncommittal when asked if he envisions a third quarterback being added to the roster.
Fantasy Impact: Just like when Belichick is asked about anything, he never gives a clear cut answer; I still would bet A.J. Feeley is a Patriot before the season begins.
Update: According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Patriots backup QB Andrew Walter has been informed that he's getting released.
Fantasy Impact: Brian Hoyer is considered Tom Brady's back for now; don't be surprised if A.J. Feeley lands in a Patriots jersey very soon.
Update: BenJarvus Green-Ellis rushed for three touchdowns and 125 yards on 29 carries against the Giants Thursday night.
Fantasy Impact: WOW! What a night from Green-Ellis, but he is still buried on the depth chart currently the fifth running back on the Patriots this year. Expect little to no fantasy impact unless injuries occur.
Update: The Boston Globe sources state that Galloway and Greg Lewis have not impressed during the Patriots preseason.
Fantasy Impact: This is a situation that will have to be monitored during the start of the season. Galloway was injured and this kept him off the field with the Buccaneers for most of last season. The Patriots envisioned him as a 3rd receiver with Moss and Welker playing in the other spots. Galloway may provide some fantasy owners value if he decides to heat up.
Update: ESPN sources state that Brady will be ready for Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills.
Fantasy Impact: Owners should feel free to start the Pro Bowl quarterback for Week 1. Brady is coming of season ending surgery and may encounter some setbacks in the early part of the season. Expect Brady and company to put fantasy worthy numbers all season long.
Update: According to the National Post, the Patriots recently tried out free agent OL Kendall Simmons, according to the National Football Post.
Fantasy Impact: Simmons will have no fantasy impact this year; if he signs with the Patriots, he will be a backup and it will just give my depth to already good defense.
Update: According to the Boston Globe, Sammy Morris might have been passed by BenJarvus Green-Ellis on the depth chart.
Fantasy Impact: Green-Ellis would have had no fantasy impact this year anyways, but he is just trying to make the 53 man roster.
Update: According to the Boston Globe, beat reporter Mike Reiss indicates that Sammy Morris may have been passed on the Patriots' depth chart by BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
Fantasy Impact: Morris will probably have little to no fantasy value anyways because he is buried on the depth chart behind Maroney, Taylor and Faulk.
Update: According to the Boston Globe, Tom Brady (shoulder) is expected to be held out of Thursday's preseason finale.
Fantasy Impact: The Pats are just trying to protect their probowl quarterback from getting hurt again. Don't be discouraged though, Brady will be in full swing week one against Buffalo.
