Update: The Boston Globe reported (WR) Wes Welker was limited for the Patriots practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact: Wes Welker has the same issue last weekend and he was just fine to play on Monday Night Football. Patriots coach Bill Belichick is a sneaky guy and likes making opposing teams think about their play calling.
Update: Ian R. Rapoport from the Boston Herald stated that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw 53 times on Monday, though the Pats quarterback noted, “it was probably more (work) for the receivers.” Belichick was asked if that’s something he’d like to replicate for Brady. “We’ll do whatever we think we need to do to win,” he said.
Fantasy Impact: This is great news for Brady owners. Continue to start Brady each and every week.
Update: Christopher L. Gasper from the Boston Globe stated that (LB) Adalius Thomas (foot) was limited in practice for the Patriots on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact: The Patriots are already thin at the linebacker position. They are without (LB) Jerod Mayo for this weekends game. Expect the Patriots defense to be downgraded if Adalius Thomas can't play.
Update: According to the Boston Globe, WR Wes Welker was limited in practice Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact: Welker was limited on Wednesday last week and was questionable for the game and played and caught 12 passes; expect him to be fine and ready to go against the Jets on Sunday.
Update: According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, LB Derrick Brooks has signed a deal with ESPN2 to be an analyst on the show First Take.
Fantasy Impact: Well he went from maybe going to the Patriots, to now being on ESPN2 on First Take; I still Brooks has some left in the tank, we'll see if he doesn't get signed by a team by the end of this year.
Update: According to the Boston Herald, LB Jared Mayo's MCL strain should only keep him out six weeks as a worse case scenario.
Fantasy Impact: Well this is good news for the Patriots defense that it doesn't seem as bad as before; we will see when he comes back and is 100 percent is a whole other question.
Update: Also, according to the Boston Herald, the Patriots are thinking about bringing the veteran linebacker Derrick Brooks in to help out.
Fantasy Impact: Since LB Jared Mayo is out at least six weeks with an MCL sprain, the Patriots may be shopping for someone to fill his shoes; stay tuned.
Update: In referring to an article in the Boston Herald by Ian R. Rapoport, WR Joey Galloway had a strong performance without catching a ball on Monday Night Football against the Bills.
Fantasy Impact: New England Personal he did everything right when it came to assignments and such, but QB Tom Brady just couldn't get him the ball when he was open; expect Galloway to have decent numbers once him and Brady build some chemistry, but is still way behind WR Randy Moss and WR Wes Welker.
Update: The Globe Staff writer Christopher L. Gasper announced that Patriots linebacker sprained his MCL against the Bills on Monday Night Football.
Fantasy Impact: Mayo is the centerpiece to the Patriots defense and his loss will impact the Patriots until he returns.
Update: Ravens Insider Aaron Wilson discussed the 29th comeback that (QB) Tom Brady did against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. During the final two scoring drives, Brady completed 11 of 13 passes for 112 yards and two touchdown passes.
Fantasy Impact: In the early part of the game, Brady looked quite rusty against the Bills. Brady looked a lot like his former Pro Bowl self in the 2nd half and especially in the 4th quarter. Brady is a must start every week.
