Update: Carlos Guillen (2B) for the Detroit Tigers is on the DL because of a bruised knee. Guillen sustained this injury during a hard slide.
Fantasy Impact: Guillen has hart. He saw Gardener coming at him but took the hit and made the play at first to get Jeter out. Guillen is a great player and has showed great perseverance, he will be back soon to the joy of the Tigers.
Update: Brandon Inge (3B) of the Detroit Tigers is activated to play. Originally, after breaking his left hand, Inge was slated to miss six weeks of play. However, making a speedy recovery, Inge is ready for action, hitting two doubles in his rehab assignment.
Fantasy Impact: The Tigers are lucky to get Inge back so quickly. He is a good fielder and a good bat and really get the Tigers' offense rolling. We just hope that the early comeback by Inge won't lead to further injury.
Update: The Detroit Tigers, currently in first place, have had a streak of bad luck. Magglio Ordonez (OF) fractured his right ankle sliding into home plate. Furthermore, Carlos Guillen (2B) strained his right calf. Now both players will join fellow Tiger Brandon Inge on the 15 day disabled list. However, based on the diagnosis for the injuries the players may be much out longer than just 15 days.

Fantasy Impact: The loss of the offense provided by Inge will be missed, and is good news for opposing teams. For fantasy players, the injury is not a big deal as he should recover quickly.
Update: One day after taking a knee to his head while attempting to break up a double play at second base,Twins 1B Justin Morneau will sit out this evenings game against the Detroit Tigers. Morneau is said to be day-to-day.Manager Ron Gardenhire said of his All-Star,"He got a little dizzy out there. He had to come out."
Fantasy Impact:So far there is no word other than he will miss today's game,but you will want to monitor this and make sure that he is diagnosed with a concussion,which would certainly put him on the 15 day DL at the least.
Update: The Detroit Tigers and RP Joel Zumaya were hoping that Zumaya's fractured elbow would heal with rest and rehab,but the club announced this morning that Zumaya will undergo surgery to repair damage to the elbow next Monday.Doctor's say that Zumaya will be healed and ready to go by the time spring training rolls around next February.
Update:Miguel Cabrera will sit out tonight's game against the Seattle Mariners with what is being called "Back tightness", according to the Detroit Tigers.He is being listed as day-to-day and this is not considered anything more than soreness.
Update: Austin Jackson will sit out his fifth straight game tonight with back spasms when the Detroit Tigers play host to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Manager Jim Leyalnd hopes to have his rookie center fielder back by Tuesday night,but that is a 50-50 chance at best at this point.
Update:Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers took one where no man wants to take one Friday night and had to be replaced because of dizziness. manager Jim Leyland handled the situation carefully when he explained why he pulled his start first baseman."Miguel got hit where it isn't very comfortable.That's why he was feeling dizzy, so I decided to take him out." Cabrera should be back in the lineup for Saturday night's game against Arizona. Cabrera's family lineage seems to be in no danger.
Update:Rookie OF Jose Tabata of the Pittsburgh Pirates will sit out tonight's against the Detroit Tigers.Tabata had started the first two games of his major league career since his recall on Wednesday,but left the first game with tightness in his right hamstring. He returned yesterday and looked as if he had no ill affects from the hammy. Even with the DH available to them the Pirates decided to sit Tabata this evening.
