Update: After his debut on the mound on Tuesdays against the Detroit Tigers, Stephen Strasburg was given just a little more of an opportunity by manager Jim Riggleman to make the Nationals Opening day roster."We'll make a decision about whether he's on the ballclub or not," said Riggleman. "But I think in his mind, he's doing the right thing. He's just competing to get hitters out, and if that puts him on the ballclub, that would be his wish I'm sure.Strasburg was everything advertised on Tuesday, but more. He was able to throw two scoreless innings using all 4 of his "out" pitches, showing those who think he just throws a 100 mph heater that he indeed knows "how" to pitch.
Fantasy Impact: If you play in a keeper league it's now just a matter of where you draft Strasburg. When is too early? When is too late? In regular leagues you can assume that Strasburg will arrive in the majors this season, perhaps earlier than expected. Just remember to keep your expectations down and you will not be disappointed. Good luck!
