Update: Rich Hill has rejected the Orioles assignment to the minors and has been declared a free agent. Hill, who will be 30 next year, has shown flashes of being a serviceable major league pitcher. In '07 he had 183 K's and an ERA of less than 4 and a sub 1.20 WHIP. However the past two season have been a regression and he could be a nice high-upside, low-buy player for G.M.'s who like to go that route. Boston and San Diego come to mind as possibilities.
