According to TSN.com, the Phoenix Suns have removed the interim tag from Alvin Gentry's title and promoted him to head coach. Gentry signed a deal that will keep him at the helm in Phoenix for the next three years. Gentry took over for Terry Porter, who was fired at the All Star break this season. Gentry was the Suns Assistant Coach from 2004 until he took over as interim coach this season.
