Update: The Cleveland Indians knew what they were getting when they traded for P Justin Masterson last season. The soon-to-be 25 year-old throws heat and can deliver strikeouts, but he still has a lot to learn when it comes to pitching. Thus far this spring he has delivered the expected K's, with 12 in 7 innings.Today versus the Texas Rangers he struck out 6 in 3/23 innings, while giving up one unearned run. As soon as Masterson is able to figure out how to keep the ball down he could emerge as a top starter for the Tribe.

Fantasy Impact: Masterson is a young live arm. If you play in a league that values K's he is a good addition to your staff this season. The Indians are going to start Masterson this year, rather than use him in the bullpen.He would be especially handy to own in A.L. only leagues.
