Update: Manager Charlie Manuel of the National League champion Philadelphia Phillies say's that P Ryan Madson could see some save opportunities at the beginning of the season if regular closer Brad Lidge is not healed from his surgeries on his elbow and knee.Madson is first in line to be the closer for the Phils until Lidge returns,but Manuel also said that recently acquired Danny Baez could be in the equation also.Madson filled in for Lidge last season and struggled as a closer.

Fantasy Impact:Madson might generate a few saves through the course of the season, but beware, he has blown 19 of the 34 save chances he has had since he came to the Phillies in 2003. As a set-up man, Madson seems more comfortable, and his value fantasy-wise lies in that realm.
