The mystery is at an end, and several sources are reporting that the Detroit Lions will draft Georgia QB Matt Stafford number one overall and sign him to the richest rookie NFL contract in history.
Stafford’s deal is a six year deal worth around 78 million dollars, with 41.7 million of that guaranteed. To put that in perspective that is a deal worth 20% more then the Atlanta Falcons gave Matt Ryan last year when they drafted him third overall.
