Update: Atlanta Braves manager got good news on Saturday when he was told that P Jair Jurrjens right shoulder felt fine one day after throwing his first 2 innings of the spring. Jurrjens will now make his next start on Tuesday on just three days rest. Also, fellow starter Derek Lowe will stay on schedule too after leaving his last start because of a blister on his right toe. This means the Braves can continue to set their rotation up for the start of the 2010 season.
Fantasy Impact: The news on Jurrjens is good for fantasy players. The fact that he and the Braves feel confident enough to keep him and the rest of the staff on schedule should ease any worries fantasy managers might have regarding his shoulder tightness.Lowe simply forgot to tape his toe when he last stepped on the mound and paid the price with a blister. It will be of no concern going forward. Jurrjens should pay handsomely as an 11th to 14th round selection, while Lowe is a late round addition in mixed leagues.
