Update: Pending a physical examination that will take place next week,Scott Lauber of The News Journal reports that the Philadelphia Phillies are about to sign INF Juan Castro to a one year deal. Castro,who played with the L.A. Dodgers this past year, would serve as a back-up to both 2B Chase Utley and SS Jimmy Rollins.Castro's agent,Oscar Suarez say's,"You want to have a superb utility man to back up the guys you have up the middle. We're trying to put this thing together. I think we're going to get it done."
