Update: Spring game or not, what J.J. Putz did on Friday in his Chicago White Sox debut, has to count for something.Putz threw one inning and allowed a hit to Manny Ramirez, but he got Matt Kemp to ground out , then he struck out both Andre Either and James Loney looking to end the inning. Putz will likely fall into the role of set-up man for the Pale Hose and he may be called upon occasionally to spell closer Bobby Jenks. So far this spring Putz has not had any issues at all with the elbow that has bothered him for the past year and a half.
