Update: Monday was made a much happier day for Baltimore Oriole's pitcher Brad Bergesen when it was officially announced that he will start the Birds exhibition game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday.Bergesen has been spending all of spring training nursing a sore shoulder that was injured while filming an Orioles promotional commercial this past winter. Bergesen was the top O's rookie pitcher in 2009 when he went 7-5 with a 3.53 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP.

Fantasy Impact:Bergesen probably has the line on the Orioles 5th spot in their rotation if he can get through the rest of spring training without any further setbacks. That makes him a nice number 5 starter for many fantasy teams. He will take some tough losses through the course of the year for a still rebuilding O's club, but with good match up's he could help deliver some nice numbers out of the end of a fantasy pitching staff. Draft him as a late-round pick in mixed leagues.
