I’ll start off this week with an apology to the Carolina Hurricanes; a team which I thought would be handled fairly easily by the Bruins. Clearly that has not been the case in round two with the Canes showing definitively that beating the Devils in round 1 was no fluke, and that they are a serious contender (though I’m still not sure exactly how). They will not be able to sneak up on either the Penguins or the Capitals in round 3, however, (assuming they beat Boston in game 6 or 7) and I would expect either of those teams to win convincingly in a series against the Canes.
