Update: The Kansas City Star reports that Gil Meche, who is on the DL with a sore back, threw 67 pitches for Triple-A Omaha on Monday. After three scoreless innings, he allowed two runs in the fourth. He walked four and struck out two.

Fantasy Impact: Meche should return to the Royals during their next homestand.  When healthy, Meche is a solid pitcher, but plays on a lousy team.  Only pick him up if you need starting pitching help.
