Update: According to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News, Chien-Ming Wang will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery Wendesday. Wang's visit with Dr. James Andrews must have turned up some troublesome test results.

Fantasy Impact: This news could mean the Yanks will be in hot pursuit to land another arm for their rotation.  Sergio Mitre isn't a guy the team has a ton of confidence in, so look for them to make a pitch for Mariners left-hander Jarrod Washburn.
